Lake Camanche's Lodging Update
As of January 1st, 2012, Lake Camanche will no longer offer lodges that accommodate smoking. Those who smoke are still very much welcome, we simply ask that all smoking be done on decks or porches and not in the rooms. We apologize for the inconvenience. Lake Camanche: Rental Kayaks are in!
Both shores will have kayaks available for rent this summer. Check with the marina for rates & availability. Rabbit Creek and Coyote Flat campgrounds are scheduled to open up May 18th.
Lake Camanche: Free Sat night movies
start Memorial Day Weekend
Free Saturday night movies at the South shore Amphitheatre (across from the Gold Run campground) start Memorial Day weekend and run through Labor Day weekend. Movies will start at sundown and are free for our guests.
Fish Plants
Lake Camanche: On Wednesday, May 9th we had 600 lbs delivered to the South shore pond and 1200 lbs delivered to the South shore ramp. The North shore ramp was not included in this delivery.
Los Vaqueros Reservoir: 1000 lbs of 1.5 to 2.5 lbs trout were planted on Monday, May 7, with about 10 to 15 fish in the 6 to 8 lbs range. These were bright beautiful fish from the Mt. Lassen Trout Farm.
Lake Camanche: Campground Updates
The Primitive Campground at North Shore is now OPEN!
The Primitive Campground at North Shore is now open. Water levels will allow for all 20 sites to be open this season!
The Rabbit Creek Campground at North Shore opens on Friday, May 18th
The Rabbit Creek campground at North shore and the Coyote Flat campground at South shore will open as of Friday, May 18th for the summer season.

Dam Expansion Updates & Closures
Most of the expansion work is complete at the North entrance to the reservoir and we hope to re-open in July, 2012. See the CCWD web site for details. The south entrance to the reservoir continues to have shoreline open to anglers. Please call 925.371.2628 for specific up-to-date information.
