Lake Camanche sits in the rolling foothills of the Sierra Nevada and is located in the heart of historic gold country. Camanche is one of California's premier bass lakes. The reservoir covers 12 square miles, is 150 feet deep, and has 53 miles of shoreline when full. Only a two hour drive from most of the San Francisco Bay Area, you can get-away for a great weekend at Lake Camanche without spending half your weekend getting there. Both the North and South shore provide a variety of recreational activities and services including: tent and RV camping, cottage rentals, boat rentals, boat launch, and well stocked stores with a full line of groceries, camping and fishing supplies.

Lake Camanche is one of California's premier Bass fisheries. Camanche’s bass population includes; Smallmouth, Alabama Spotted and both Northern and Florida-strain Largemouth Bass. Other species to be found in Lake Camanche include; Trout, Catfish, Crappie and Bluegill.
