To the North Entrance:

There are two entrances to Los Vaqueros, but there is no connection between the two in the watershed.

The North Entrance –– which includes the Kellogg Creek Picnic Area, the John Muir Interpretive Center, Watershed Office and the dam — is located on Walnut Blvd, just south of Brentwood.

The South Entrance — which includes the Marina and shore fishing — is located off Vasco Road, just about 4.5 miles north of Livermore.

To THE NORTH ENTRANCE
(Interpretive Center, trails & dam, Watershed Office, Kellogg Creek)

FROM HIGHWAY 4 (ANTIOCH)

  • Past Hillcrest, merge left onto the Brentwood Bypass.
  • Turn right onto WaTnut Blvd. about a mile to the entrance gate

FROM PLEASANTON/LIVERMORE AREA

  • From 580, take the Vasco Road Exit North
  • Follow Vasco Road into the hills for 14 miles
  • At light, turn left onto Camino Diablo for about two miles,turn left onto Walnut Blvd. to entrance gate.

To THE SOUTH ENTRANCE
(Marina, boat renta ls, trails)

FROM HIGHWAY 4 (ANTIOCH)

  • Past Hillcrest, merge left onto the Brentwood Bypass.
  • Stay on the bypass,as it turns into Vasco Road for another 11 miles.
  • Look for small brown Los Vaqueros Watershed sign, turn right

FROM PLEASANTONILIVERMORE AREA

  • From 580, take the Vasco Road exit North
  • Foliow the road into the hills for 4.5 miles
  • At the crest, look for the small brown Los Vaqueros Watershed sign, turn left
